01 — Self Awareness
A clear and conscious knowledge of one’s character and feelings
One of the first topics we were subjected to in the class was self-awareness and this was focussed on opening up our paradigm of thinking so that we “belt-up” ourselves for the learning journey that would follow in the six(6) months of the class. The whole structure of The Mentorship Class has been designed on the principle of building a house in which all subsequent bricks laid on the walls are supported by those bricks that have been laid earlier. The lack of self-awareness has led many people to “play small” in life’s aspirations and ambitions compared to the huge potential that lies right within each of us. One who is aware of oneself as an individual can use their unique traits to their advantage in different aspects of life, for one cannot use that which they are ignorant about.
Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams, who looks inside, wakes.
02 — Personal Development
Excellence is not an act it’s a habit.
This is one of the key lessons I picked from The Opus which was shown during our first session on personal development. Mr. Jesse Ainebyoona also talked about the need to define yourself, your strengths and weaknesses. One thing that stood out for me was, ‘What is before you and what is behind you is nothing compared to what is inside of you.’
At the end of the month we had a video of the late Myles Munroe where he talked about personal excellence. He made everyone crave for excellence. To him excellence is that one thing that makes a man great. Excellence attracts attention and success but above all excellence is a choice and we all needed to find our gym because the world only provided a ring where the best is recognized.

03 — Entrepreneurship
Our minds are wired for enterprise but it is our dreams and effort that lead us to different career paths.
Almost all businesses that are set up are in response to a desire to seize opportunity or to solve a problem that is affecting a community of people or the world at large. In our mentoring sessions, we were trained about entrepreneurship as part of the initiative to equip us with entrepreneurial capabilities. We learnt that entrepreneurship is the process of designing, launching and running a new business. It was interesting to learn that our minds are wired for enterprise but it is our dreams and effort that lead us to different career paths.
